Around our house, it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. We are decorating, making our favorite treats and the children are making out their Christmas wish lists. I have pulled out all of our Christmas cds and have Christmas music playing almost constantly.
It’s time the kids learn how to put together an artificial Christmas tree and see how much fun I have every year putting it together. I had each of the children do a layer at a time until we got to the top of the tree. I thought I would share a few pictures of our preparations. Enjoy!
A Lot Like Christmas
Nick did the first layer and the fourth layer.
He appears to be taking this job very seriously!
Dave had the job of assembling the second and fifth layers.
I wonder if he looks that concentrated when he’s doing his school work.
Shelby did the third and sixth layer, which left the top for me.
Shelby seems to be enjoying herself.
And what was I doing you ask.
Supervising, of course!!
Finally, We have seven feet of greenery in the middle of our livingroom!
After completing the tree, I installed three sets of lights. (colored lights per the children’s request)
And then the garland and other decorations were applied.
The decorations started coming out of the boxes and placed around the house. Most of the items on this shelf were made by Laura.
We hung the mini crocheted stocking that Laura made on all of the cabinet doors.
There are lighted trees but these weren’t made by Laura.
Laura really loves putting plates on the wall. So out came the Christmas plates.
