Transgender Target

Target has been my favorite anti-Walmart stores up until today, when I read Target’s stance on the transgender bathroom issue.  I have known for sometime that the company has been drifting toward the liberal and continued to shop, but they have finally reached the point that we will be parting ways.

I have never had a problem being kind and friendly with the gender confused, in fact, still call several my friend.  We do not feel the need to discuss our sexual preferences with one another.

I believe that what you do in your bedroom should stay in your bedroom.  It’s none of my business.  It is between you, your partner, and God!  And you will answer to God in the end!

But what does your sexual preference have to do with using the restroom?  Apparently a lot to the transgender community, Target, Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, and Brian Adams.  If all you are doing is going to use the bathroom, you should use the one that fits your anatomy the best, not your sexual preferences.

If you don’t feel comfortable using the bathroom that matches your plumbing, a great solution would be to use a unisex restroom that is already in place in most large stores.  But this is still considered discrimination for some reason by the transgender community!  Why?  I have never been told it was okay for me to use the women’s restroom and never felt that was discrimination!

Who does this make happy?

The most frequently cited estimate is that there are 700,000 people in the United States that identify as transgender.  That is only 0.2 to 0.3 percent of the total population of the United States! Target is going to have a hard time surviving when their customer base dwindles to less than one percent of the population.

Transgender people are not the only ones that are happy about Target’s stance.

Chad Sevearance, president of the Charlotte Business Guild, which describes itself as “a network of LGBT professionals” is happy.  He is also a registered child sex offender.

Johanna Wolf, previously known as Jonathan Adrian Wolf, is happy with Target’s stance.  Jonathan was a sex-offender convicted of raping a 20-year old deaf girl in Nebraska in 2006. This sex-offender is now seeking access to a woman’s locker room through Washington’s open bathroom policy.

Christopher Hambrook, is a man who claimed to be transgender so he could gain access to and prey on women at two Toronto shelters in 2014.

There are always criminals ready to exploit any opportunity and this policy is providing a HUGE opportunity to sexual predators and pedophiles of both sexes.  It even provides a great opportunity to overly curious teenagers to gain access to places they shouldn’t be (just another reason I am glad we homeschool our children)

Although many may disagree, I am not a homophobe or a “bigot”, but I believe a little logic needs to be injected into this ridiculous conversation.  I don’t believe intentionally exposing my wife and children to sexual predators is being a good father and husband! (from this day forward, they WILL NOT be entering a Target or any other business that openly promoted mixed restrooms!)  Although we love the pharmacist, Josh, at our local Target, we are shopping for a new pharmacy.

I will support your right to swing your fist until it reaches the end of my nose and no further.  My nose just got reached by Target and I can no longer support this company!!  Target says it wants everyone to feel accepted and respected.  I guess that doesn’t mean that my right to privacy while using the restrooms is going to be respected.
