Geocaching Withdrawals
I am having geocaching withdrawals because we have had a very busy couple of months causing my geocaching outings to be limited to grabbing a few easy caches when we run out to the store or visit Crazy Daisy’s to check on our booth.
I have only found eight geocaches this year and that includes the First Light 2016 event that we attended on January first!
In 2014, the year we started geocaching at the end of April, we found 458 and in 2015, we found 371 geocaches. From April 25, 2014 to May 31, 2015 (402 days), I found at least one geocache every single day whether it was raining, snowing, sleeting or the sun was shining. I guess it is understandable that I would be having some geocaching withdrawals!!
This year, I have been spending a lot of time working on the back-end of this website trying to get everything just the way I want it! (hopefully you will see some really cool changes in the next few weeks) I have been looking in to creating a YouTube channel, creating an etsy store, and trying to stay on top of writing some entertaining blog posts (I believe I may be failing at this).
Today, I found myself looking through the many pictures that we have taken over the last two years on some of our geocaching trips and the great events that we have been to since getting involve with caching. It makes me wish for better weather and more time to get back out in the woods, using government satellites to track down Tupperware or whatever form the containers make take!
Maybe winter storm Jonas will not be as bad as everyone is expecting and we can do some geocaching this weekend. Even if it is, the temperatures are supposed to rise next week, making it a great time to get over my geocaching withdrawals!
