Super Smash Bros
Super Smash Bros for the 3DS and Wii U is awesome! If you don’t know what it is, then I’ll try my best to tell you. Super Smash Bros is similar to other fighting games, but you get to choose a variety of Nintendo characters like Mario, Link, Kirby, Pikachu, and so on. But instead of trying to remove the other fighter’s Health, you have to knock them off of the stage.
There are also unlockable fighters that you can unlock by doing specific things. Or if you prefer it easy, every ten battles in the main mode of the game “Smash” you have to fight one of the unlockable characters. I almost forgot to mention that each of the unlockable fighters (well, ALMOST all of them) will also unlock a stage if you unlock them! And if you fail to unlock them, finish another smash battle to try again!
Now, let me tell you about one of my favorite game modes, “Smash Run”! In this mode, 1-4 players can play by the way, can adventure through a map, defeat enemies from games like Pikmin, Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Kid Icarus, and more! When you defeat enemies in smash run, you’ll find upgrades which it’ll upgrade your stats depending on which one you get and how big it is. These upgrades can look like an orange boxing glove (Basic attack power) a blue shield (Shield) a purple hammer (Power of attack items and healing items) a green boot (Speed) a yellow wing (Jump height) a red explosion shape (Special attacks) and a rainbow star (ALL). Be careful, though. Getting launched too far off-screen and getting KO’d will make you lose some of your stat upgrade! After five minutes of going around the map, the game checks everybody’s stats. Yes, even the CPU’s. And then you have to face off in a final battle, wether it be smashing each other, defeating the most enemies, or running to the goal first, you’ve got to be prepared for what happens!
Back to the enemies, there’s two, and ONLY two enemies that give me the creeps. Those two enemies, with music that can get under your skin, one of them is called the Reaper, and the other one is an Orne. If you hear what sounds like a weird egyptian like music, just RUN. “Why do I run?” you may ask. Because if you touch it, you get KO’d instantly It’s one of rarest enemies to find in Smash Run, and that’s a really good thing, too.
Well, i remember that Smash Run in’t in Wii U, and instead its a game mode called “Smash Tour”. Fortunately, the stat boosts i explained earlier do make it in Smash Tour. The basics for Smash Tour is you go running around a little map like as if it was a board game, collecting fighters and stat boosts. If you get put on the same space as another player, everyone will have to play a simple game of Smash with the fighters they collected. If you lose, you get some of your stat boosts scattered around the map. If you win, you got a chance to collect the stat boosts that the other players lost.
Now that’s just scraping the surface of what the game has to offer to owners of Super Smash Bros For 3DS and Wii U. But what do YOU think?
