Without family there would be no Crazy Dave’s Crew. We will take you along with us as we live, love and learn together through all of our ramblings on the pages of this blog
Geocaching Family
We discovered geocaching in April of 2014. Although Crazy Dave leads the way in the geocaching sport, the entire Crew usually comes along for the cache hunting. Our geocaching nickname is Crazy Dave’s Crew. From that simple nickname comes everything else that has Crazy Dave’s Crew attached to it.
The Hiking Crew
Geocaching easily lends itself to hiking as a Crew. We have found that hiking together is a great way to have a conversation without technology getting in the way. Watching our children become familiar with nature and all of God’s wonderful creations is exciting for all of us. In fact, Shelby has just recently taken up photography to help document our hiking trips and God’s art work.
Christianity of the Crew
Family begins with our relationship with God. To have a true understanding of what a family is we have to look at the biblical examples. Crazy Dave’s Crew is by no means the perfect Christian family. But we will take you along with us on our journey as we strive to find a closer relationship with God and each other in this world of lies we live in.
Homeschooling The Crew
Homeschooling our children was a choice we made back in 2008. There have many struggles along the way, by almost always balanced by the rewards. We will have many stories of the Crew’s homeschooling adventures.
Myasthenia Gravis
Yes, even Laura’s disease, Myasthenia Gravis, is something we do as a family. This disease affects the nerve receptors and causes extreme fatigue. Crazy Dave’s Crew has to find ways to function while one of our family members suffers with the problems brought on by this disease. This is our disease and will find its way into many of our blog posts.
Crazy Dave’s Crew isn’t just a blog page, it’s our family.
