Have you ever wondered what was meant when someone said they were running around like a chicken with its head cut off? I think I have figured it out and now I am going to show you what it means.
Chicken
I have alway had some great ideas, but for some reason I have been too chicken to put my neck out far enough or long enough to make them happen(Did you see the reference to the chicken’s neck?). I don’t know what the real problem was! Maybe I was afraid of failing or maybe it was fear of rejection. Perhaps I just felt like I didn’t have the support or belief needed from my family and friends. I don’t know but I never really followed through until now!
With its head cut off
I finally decided I wanted to write blogs about our adventures in geocaching, traveling, homeschooling and anything else that seemed interesting. For that reason, I started cdcrew.com back in November of last year. For the first two months that was all I focused on.
Since then I have added an online shop called Crazy Dave’s Yard Sale. I am working on getting some new items load in the near future and hope to see it take off. Constantly finding something that I can do better on the website, I am always busy trying to polish it up and make it more professional looking.
Sometime in the last few months, I have discovered how much I love shooting, editing and posting videos on YouTube. This seems to have consumed a lot of my spare time and distracted me from the blogging website. I have relied heavily on Laura and Shelby to keep adding new content. I really appreciate all that they do. It just goes to show you that a family working together and supporting each other can do anything.[embedyt] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8VNXDcRLOg[/embedyt]
Oh and did I mention, I’m also growing my own tomato garden this year and plan to start raising chickens next year. And I still get up and go to work 40-50 hours every week. I have finally started thinking that I will have to schedule time to write blog posts and schedule time for editing YouTube videos and actually stick to that schedule. (If you know me, you know I don’t do schedules!)
This is what a chicken with its head cut off looks like, running around and around until it drops.
